About Summer Picassos

In this program children learn about the works of great art masters through fun, open ended, hands on experiences like making mobiles like Calder, creating collages like Matisse and making prints like Warhol. This exciting early exposure to art history helps young children build on their observation skills and gives them an understanding of history and culture in an engaging and developmentally appropriate manner.

About the Instructor

Summer Picassos is offered by the owner and instructor of Preschool Picassos, Stacy Davidson Minicucci, M.Ed., an Early Childhood Developmental Specialist with over 20 years of experience working with local children and their families. Stacy is skilled at bringing out the best in all children through the expressive arts. She holds Commonwealth of Massachusetts Teacher Certifications in Special Needs and School Counseling and is an EEC Certified Preschool Teacher. This is Stacy’s fifth summer running Summer Picassos at Garden Nursery School. During the school year Stacy is the Community Preschool and Head Start  Liaison for The Beautiful Stuff Project where she presents Treasure Box Workshops in community preschool and early childhood programs. Stacy often incorporates the material from her work at Beautiful Stuff to Summer Picassos.

They say, “Do what you love and you won't work a day in your life!” Well, Stacy loves art history, working with young children, and having flexibility to spend time with her family. The success of Summer Picassos and Preschool Picassos has allowed Stacy to be the kind of mother and professional she always dreamed of being.
